Maruti to cut down waiting time with new stockyards
Maruti Suzuki India the country’s largest and most appreciated carmaker has various popular cars under its portfolio in India, the waiting period for few models is as high as 3 to 4 months. For example, the current Maruti Swift Dzire has a huge waiting time of three to four months. Therefore, the carmaker officially announced that it will soon set up one more stockyard unit in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Recently, Maruti Suzuki India set up a new stockyard facility in Bangalore and soon one will be opened in Nagpur as well.

The new stockyard at Nagpur mainly aims to cut down the waiting period of the Maruti cars, which would thereby amplify the number of deliveries of these cars. According to the managing executive officer of MSIL, Mr. Mayank Pareek, the stockyard will be set up area wise, which would cut down the waiting period to a huge extent. The Bangalore stockyard will cater to the deliveries of South India, whereas the Nagpur stockyard facility will cater to the Central and Western parts of India. Maruti Suzuki India also recently launched the brand new Maruti Swift Dzire, which precisely measures less than four meters in length. The older version, which was launched in India in 2011, has already been victorious and still has a long waiting line.

Therefore, developing new stockyards, area wise is an absolute positive decision made by the firm, especially looking at such a great competition in the market today. Maruti Suzuki India is well aware that long waiting time for cars is not a good sign for the firm as consumers get drifted towards the competitors’ cars. With such feisty competition in the Indian car market today, it is certainly an intelligent move by Maruti India by setting up stockyards in different regions of the country.
