    Maruti to bring Alto to compete with Nano

    Maruti Suzuki largest car manufacturer in India is expected to cut down the prices of its famous small car Maruti Alto. The decision is expected to be taken to counter the most awaited car of India Tata Nano. According to news reports the company is planning to slash down price of Maruti Alto will not be slashed as low as price of Tata Nano but there would be a significant decrease in the price of Maruti Alto.

    Maruti Suzuki largest car manufacturer in India is expected to cut down the prices of its famous small car Maruti Alto. The decision is expected to be taken to counter the most awaited car of India Tata Nano. According to news reports the company is planning to slash down price of Maruti Alto will not be slashed as low as price of Tata Nano but there would be a significant decrease in the price of Maruti Alto.

    At the other hand the Tata Nano will be produced in quantity as low as 3000 to 5000 which will roll out from Tata Motors plant at Pantnagar in Uttarakhand. The price of this car is expected to be within the range of Rs 1.25 to 1.30 lakhs. Although  many analyst were expecting a cut in prices of Maruti 800 to compete with Tata Nano. The Maruti Alto standard is India's largest selling model and it is priced at a level of2.3 lakhs right now.

    if maruti alto is offerred at 1.9 lacs to 2.0 lacs, it will be difficult for nano to compete. this is what we call "healthy competition"

        The future is predicted as below. Low end cars and high end bikes will get affected .High end cars will not be prefered as there will be more and more small and compact cars. Low speed cars will gain preference. Thank you.
