Maruti Swift Dzire to be manufactured from Gurgaon facility
Maruti India has recently announced that they are going to shift the production of the most selling sedan Maruti Swift Dzire. The company has said that they are shifting the production of this new car from Manesar plant to the Gurgaon facility. The major reason behind this could be the 13 day long strike at the Manesar plant. At Gurgaon facility no major industrial dispute took place since the last decade and the company would expect the same from the labourers of this plant.

The company might make some changes at its Gurgaon manufacturing facility, so that the production of this sedan could be continued without creating trouble in the manufacturing of other cars. The production of Maruti Swift will continue in the the Manesar plant.A 13 day long workers strike at the Manesar plant in the month of June, was for the separate labour union at the Manesar plant. This demand of the workers was discarded by the company. The officials also said that there will be only one labour union for Maruti India all over the country. This strike not only affected the production of Maruti Swift Dzire, but also made a revenue loss of 630 to the company.

This sedan holds 5th position in the list of the most selling cars after the hatchbacks Maruti Alto, Maruti WagonR, Hyundai i10 and Maruti Swift.The sedan was first launched in 2008, and today also has a waiting period of 6 months. The Manesar plant which produced the first car for the company in India, is responsible for the production of major cars that Maruti India supply in the market. In the last fiscal the plant produced 1.27 million cars.The company will try to manage out the production of these two cars in the plants, to reduce the waiting period of the car.
