Maruti Suzuki produced over 80 lakh cars in India

Maruti Suzuki has produced over 80 lakh cars in India since its first car rolled out on 14 December 1983. Among this total, 27 lakh is the number of Maruti 800. Around 25 lakh units were sold in the home only. The company exactly produced 81,05,228 units so far from its two manufacturing units. Maruti Suzuki is the leading car manufacture in the country and the second largest car exporter. MSI is the big boss of small car segment that accounts for nearly two-third of the overall car sales in the country and it also accounts for every second car sold in India. The company is all set to ship its batch of 54000 units of Maruti A-Star that is to be sold in the name of Nissan Pixo in United Kingdom.
