Mahindra and Mahindra new SUV W201 Spied

Mahindra and Mahindra tried hard to hide its new SUV known as Mahindra W201, but it wasn’t successful enough, as the Mahindra W201 was recently spotted wrapped in zebra stripe disguise.  But when looked closely, one can easily notice the smart lines and dead right proportions of the new Mahindra SUV W201.

The new Mahindra W201 sports fresh headlamps that are swept back, curved grille, which makes Mahindra W201, looks more elegant and attractive. The tapered roof along with rising beltline makes Mahindra W201 pretty awesome. It could be expected that this new SUV by Mahindra and Mahindra can put the firm on the global platform.

Apparently, Mahindra’s new SUV, Mahindra W201 will sport a 2.2 L mHawk engine along with a brand new transaxle, which is specially made for it. This new car is also expected to come with cable operation gearbox with around 5 and 6 speed transmissions, which is made with a little assistance from Ricardo. The engine might keep the capacity to churn out power between120 bhp to around 140 bhp with a peak torque of around 32.6kilo gram. However, rumor has it that Mahindra and Mahindra is planning to boost up the power to around 170 bhp in future, which will be accompanied with the twin turbo variant. Apart from the engine, Mahindra W201 will also have ESP, traction control and tumble control.

Apart from Mahindra W201, Mahindra India is also planning to launch 2 more SUVs; one is Mahindra Kornado and Mahindra Rexton II in the country. Both these SUVs are Korea based automobile company, Ssang Yong Motor Company’s manufacturing. And these two cars will join the task force of Mahindra and Mahindra SUVs.  As per the rumors, the new Mahindra W201 SUV will be priced approximately near Rs. 14 Lakh for 4 x 4 variant and for the base front wheel drive variant, it will cost around Rs. 13 Lakh.
