Mahindra and Mahindra coming with 10 new models

With the downfall in the automobile industry not to stand for long it is expected this Mahindra and Mahindra will launch nearly more than 10 models and that too with in the coming two years. It has come to the knowledge that both these new launches will be in the sector of the commercial vehicle segment. These vehicle segment will be in the group of truck and low tonnage vehicles. Mahindra and Mahindra like other competitors in the foreign market is presently trying to use a single platform for the production of the vehicle. In general a vehicle platform is a general and basic structure on which a vehicle is built. A platform for the construction is based on the criterias like general size, strength and the general body construction. In accordance the company will bring out nearly three-four models based on this single platform. These model variants will be in the group of new sports utility vehicle all needed to be launched in the next year 2010. Besides the recently launched Mahindra Xylo the company is also thinking to launch two-three different new models. It has come to the knowledge that Mahindra Xylo is a version based on Scorpio platform.
  In addition Mahindra and Mahindra is also thinking to launch three new models in the range of tonne weight commercial vehicle. Expected that the model will compete with the model coming under the weight category of sub-1 tonne to 1.5 tonne. As estimated that this new model will be a competitor against the successful model of Tata Ace.
  It has come to the knowledge that Mahindra Navistar Automotive, a joint venture between Mahindra and Mahindra and the other being a US based Navistar which is going to launch a new truck in the next year 2009-10. It has come to the knowledge that this model may share its standard platform with other upcoming cars also. According to the President of Mahindra and Mahindra the pans of the company are very clear and all will move as per to the time table, it is estimated that there will not be any delay in the process of proceedings with the production and processing of the car model variant. Some of the expected models by the next year are truck, the LTV, the W201 (a new class SUV) and also models which would be based on the general platform Mahindra Xylo.
