Prices of the Sonet have gone up by up to Rs 20,000 but turbo-petrol variant prices remain the same.

Kia is one of the brands that has increased the prices of its models in January 2021. The price hike, however, is applicable only to its SUV offerings: the Sonet and Seltos. Here’s a look at the revised pricing:

Kia has hiked the prices of the diesel-powered Sonet uniformly by Rs 20,000 while the 1.2-litre petrol engine-equipped variants have become costlier by up to Rs 10,000. However, there’s no change in the pricing of the variants powered by the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit. It is still the priciest offering, in its top-spec diesel automatic variant, in the sub-4m SUV segment.

The prices of both the petrol and diesel variants of the Seltos have gone up by up to Rs 11,000. However, the base-spec petrol HTE, the top-spec turbo-petrol GTX+ DCT, and second-to-base diesel HTK variants remain unaffected by the price increment. Kia has hiked the prices of the Anniversary Edition by the same amount as well. Its pricing continues to pit it against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, MG Hector and Tata Harrier
Kia has not touched the price list of the Carnival MPV. It is still available in three variants with 7-, 8-, and 9-seater configurations and is priced in the range of Rs 24.95 lakh to Rs 33.95 lakh.
