Jaguar Land Rover Sales Report, September 2012
While Jaguar Land Rover may not compare with the likes of the big-wig SUV manufacturers Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW, they still have something to celebrate for the month of September. According to JLR they have achieved their best-ever retail sales for the month of September and reported a rise in sales in all major markets. JLR reported sales of 36, 652 units; an increase of 22% from September, last year. Land Rover reported retailing 30,652 units; an increase of 31% from last year. This growth was particularly reflected in the Range Rover Sport, Discovery and Evoque models.

In addition to that, JLR has more to look forward to. The All-New Range Rover was revealed recently and is slated to begin deliveries by 2012 end or early 2013. Jaguar however did not do as well and reported retailing of 6,255 units; a decrease of 7% from last year’s figures. Things may pick up with the introduction of new power trains and all-wheel-drive versions of the XJ and XF & XF Sportsbrake models.
Overall, JLR has delivered 269, 115 vehicles around the world which is an increase of 37% versus the first nine months of 2011. Jaguar delivered 41,867 vehicles, up 11%, and Land Rover delivered 227,248, up 44%.
