Hot Wheels at Auto Expo
India has been flourishing as a potential market for small cars and has received a good response at the 10th Auto Expo with all main manufacturers showcasing production ready cars or concepts headed for production. The 10th Auto expo had witnessed the showcase of many significant cars like the much awaited Volkswagen Polo, Chevrolet Electric spark; Tata Motor’s Aria and Magic Iris, Maruti’s Multi Purpose Vehicle Eeco, the RIII concept; Renault’s Fluence.

Chevrolet has launched its1.2-litre hatchback, Chevrolet Beat. Audi A7 Sportback, BMW X1 and 5-series GT, Mercedes’ SLS AMG a natural successor to the 300 SL and the GL-class, Jaguar XJ are SUVs displayed at the grand show. However, Nissan and Ford did not participate in the auto expo. But both companies has plans to introduce new hatchbacks into the Indian market in 2010 with the all new Micra and the Figo respectively.
