Honda to recall 2nd generation City model in India
Honda Ciel India Ltd. (HCIL), a subsidiary of Japan based Honda Motors announced on Saturday that it would call back 8,532 units of its 2nd generation Honda City models which were manufactured in year 2007. According to the company around 8,532 Honda City models which were manufactured in India in year 2007 will be recalled due to faulty window switches. Company further cleared that the 3rd generation models of Honda City which has been sold in India will not be recalled as the 3rd generation model doesn't require replacement of parts, just a day before the announcement by the company that there will be no recall of Honda Jazz model in India as only second generation model of Honda Jazz has been sold here, which does not need any part replacement.

Earlier, last week company shocked the world automobile industry by announcing the call back of its 646,000 units of Fit/Honda Jazz and Honda City models sold across the world. The recall from Honda includes 140,000 vehicles from US and it covers vehicles sold by the company across many major automobile markets like North America, South America, South Africa, Asia and Europe, thought it not includes models sold in Japan.
