GTI Supersport is Volkswagen's entry for Vision Gran Turismo
Volkswagen has joined the digital race circuit of the Gran Turismo 6, with the GTI Supersport Vision Gran Turismo. The GTI Supersport gets a 503 hp VR6 TSI engine powering it mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. With 665 Nm of torque at its disposal, the GTI Supersport can sprint from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and is capable of a top speed of over 300 km/h. The power output is transferred to the virtual asphalt via 4MOTION all-wheel drive and 20-inch GTI advanced alloy wheels.
The Supersport GTI gets the basic shape of a GTI body but the proportions and body surfaces have been optimized for an extremely low centre of gravity. The digital supercar offers a power-to-weight ratio of only 2.5 kilograms per horsepower thanks to the extensive use of carbon elements.
At the broad, powerful front end of the aerodynamically optimized body, prominent features are vertical light modules and generous air intakes with the honeycomb configuration typical of the model. The broad shoulders at the rear provide the ideal ventilation for the brakes while the prominent roof-edge spoiler and flamboyant diffuser make the Supersport assist in keeping the car as close to the ground as possible.
Volkswagen's latest digital creation can be clothed in "Reflex Silver", "Gran Turismo Red", "Lapiz Blue" or "Oryx White" and is now available to Gran Turismo 6 players for downloading.
