Ford Mondeo and Kuga Will be Coming to 2016 Indian Auto Expo

Ford will be showcasing its premium sedan, Mondeo and Kuga SUV at the upcoming 2016 Indian Auto Expo. The Auto Expo will be held from 5th to 9th of February, in the Greater Noida region. Kuga as an utility vehicle will be placed above Ford Ecosport and below the premium SUV, Endeavour.

Recently, units of both Mondeo and Kuga were imported in India and according to the website Zauba, the company has stated research and development as purpose of the import.

Under the hood, Kuga is expected to feature a 2.0-liter diesel engine which has been tweaked to deliver two states of power output viz. 150PS and 180PS variants. A 1.5-liter EcoBoost petrol mill will also be made available in similar two-states of tune. The power plants come coupled to an an optional PowerShift dual-clutch transmission, which sends power to all four wheels. The SUV is also available with a standard manual transmission.

The Mondeo premium sedan will feature a range of 1.5-liter, 1.6-liter and 2.0-liter  diesel units. The BMW 3-Series killer will also incorporate EcoBoost turbocharged petrol powerplants. It is still unclear if these cars will be launched in India, but their showcase at the Indian Auto Expo alongside the likes of Ford Mustang will probably make Ford’s pavilion the hottest showcase in town
