Ford EcoSport to Come by January 2013, Not During Diwali
One after the other test runs of the much awaited SUV, Ford Ecosport has created a sensation far and wide, and even rumours started floating that this would launch in India during Diwali. But our sources have confirmed that, although ford is ready with the production version, but the launch will not take place before 2013. To be precise, it will come by January next year. Our sources further informs that Ford India is planning to bring in its diesel version as well but later, at first it will come mated with the award winning EcoBoost engine.

The diesel variant will house the similar 1.5-litre engine used in the Ford Fiesta. The closest competitor of the coming Ford EcoSport will be the Renault Duster and Tata Safari Storme, which are coming this July. Two days before, we reported that the Titanium version of the SUV was caught doing test runs uncomouglaged in chennai, it was spotted a couple of times before this as well.Stay tuned for more updates.
