Fiat to introduce new Palio-Siena by 2011

Italian automobile manufacturer, Fiat is currently projecting to exhibit a new Palio/Siena in global market by 2011. The new upcoming model of Fiat was seen across streets while its testing procedures. As per the latest updates this new project of Fiat in Argentina is supposed to be funded by the Federal authorities of Argentina and will also include $ 352 million from Fiat itself. In Argentina Fiat has got its manufacturing facility at Cordoba.

In the past couple of years Fiat has come with cars like Fiat Punto and Fiat Linea which has brought its glory back in the domestic market. Fiat is also in projections to bring a small car in Indian market which will be ranging below its Punto. It is expected this new car will be priced between 3-4 lakhs and will be launched by Fiat at Delhi Auto Expo, 2012.

Recently, Fiat has launched its Fiat Linea T Jet upgraded model and Punto 90HP at the Auto Show East, 2010 Kolkata. The New Linea T Jet has got powerful engine with maximum power of 114 PS and maximum torque of 207 nm. Ex- Showroom price for Linea T Jet in Kolkata is Rs 8,74,245 and Ex- showroom price for Linea T Jet Plus is Rs. 9,18,646.

Moreover, Fiat has recently achieved the milestone of manufacturing 2,00,000 units in its Ranjangaon plant near pune(Maharashtra). Fiat also showcased its new car Fiat Milo at San Paulo in 2010 which is build as per future needs and technology. Fiat is consistingly increasing its production and bringing new vehicle models day by day to increase its market share in the domestic market even then it was unable to meet its target sales figures. Between January – February,2010 Fiat sold only 24,000 cars which is not a decent number in Indian auto indurtry. Fiat planned to sell over 46,000 cars in India this year but statistics has been poor for till now for sales .

Fiat India Automobiles is the 50 – 50 Joint venture of Italian auto manufacturer Fiat Group and leading Indian automobile company, Tata Motors. On Indian shores Fiat deales with five car models which includes Fiat 500, Fiat Grande Punto , Fiat Linea, Fiat Palio Stile and Fiat Palio Style Multijet.
