Italian luxury sports car maker Ferrari will initiate business in the beginning of next year as the company prepares to register close-to-record results for the present year, said Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo. He further added that the company will close the year, despite the crisis, better than previous year, close to record levels in reference to economic results. About the new markets, Montezemolo stated that the carmaker was presently there in fifty seven markets. He also commented that in January 2011, the company will open in India.

Montezemolo also repeated the recent comments which were given by its Chief Executive. Those comments said that at the moment there are no plans for a Ferrari listing. Currently Fiat owns 85 % of Ferrari. It is worthwhile mentioning that this Italian group is dividing its industrial and autos businesses as a step aimed at converting the company to a world class car player.
Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne said that the sale of Alfa Romeo brand of Fiat is not visible currently. He further added that an exchange listing for the Ferrari unit of the group is a probable option but there were no plans for the same at present.
