Discovery Sport Launching Tomorrow!

JLR’s Discovery Sport is all set to be launched in the country tomorrow. The all new iteration of the popular discovery looks well ahead of the outgoing generation, both in looks, creature comfort and underpinnings. Booking of the same have started in the month of August and it was reported that the number got quite sizeable in a very short span.

Encapsulating the latest luxury features, this marque will set a new benchmark for both interior versatility and off-road capability.

A spacious cabin with 5+2 seats along with the latest technology from the manufacturer makes it a great package. The dashboard will get a decent media navigation touchscreen unit, while the instrumentation cluster will significantly better than the previous generation.

Under the hood, it will be the 2.2 litre diesel motor mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The motor will be producing a decent 150 PS of power and will twist out a peak torque of 400 Nm. This will enable it to reach 100 kmph from naught in just 10.3 seconds while the top whack is 180 kmph. The fuel economy will be 12.3 kmpl, a neat one, if not much for an SUV of this size.

Discovery Sport will be coming via CKD (Completely Knocked Down unit) route and so we expect it to be nicely priced.
