Chevrolet sells 4681 units of Beat diesel
The Chevrolet Beat was rolled out in the diesel avatar in July, this year by General Motors . It is said that the overall sales of General Motors have picked up by 14%, which is contributed partly by the extraordinary response received by the launch of Chevrolet Beat Diesel. As per the sales reports of GM, the Chevrolet Beat recorded a 4681 unit sales accounting for the 9050 unit overall sales in August, 2011 as compared to the 7941 units sold during the corresponding period in 2010. Mr. P. Balendran of GM, India had also confirmed that the recent growth in sales observed by GM is due to the strategies implemented by the GM to increase the customers' interest and the unique Chevrolet promise apart from the principal reason being the launch of the highly fuel efficient Chevrolet Beat diesel.
