Check Out the teased India-Bound 2017 Chevrolet Beat
General Motors India has revealed the first official teaser of the next generation Chevrolet Beat. The car has been confirmed by the company for a launch that is scheduled for the year 2017. This revelation was made during a presentation at the SIAM conference, earlier this week in New Delhi. Earlier In June, the Company had stated that a compact sedan version of the new Beat is also all set to go into production.

The details of the car are still a subject of speculation, which happen to include its design approach/updates. The proportions of the current Beat will remain unchanged. The new Beat will feature a rising beltline, sloping rake, the new dual port grille and elongated headlights. The car doesn’t seem to be any bigger than the current Taewan Kim designed generation, which is reminiscent of Chevrolet's previous approach with the Giorgetto Giugiario designed second generation Beat(aka Spark/Matiz: Internationally). There is a strong possibility that the company will reuse the current platform for the replacement model.

By the looks of it, the 2017 Beat looks a lot like the third generation of the international Chevrolet Spark, especially in context of the grille and the foglamps. With the showcase of advanced entertainment features in cars like the Renault Kwid, GM India should give a serious thought to bringing the MyLink touchscreen infotainment system and a dual tone dashboard. We also hope that the current power plant is also updated to deliver that extra ounce of grunt.
