Car sales to grow over 30 per cent in Oct

Festival time excitement of customers is still there in the auto market thereby sales increase to cross 30 per cent growth mark in the current month, October. In the last month, record 1.67 lakh passenger vehicles were sold in the country. Auto makers are expecting to cross this sales mark in October. The fact is supported by country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki. Shashank Srivastava, chief general manager (marketing), Maruti, told that the company is expecting 25 per cent increase in the sales in the month.

According to Mr. Srivastava, Maruti Ritz, Maruti Swift Dzire, Maruti Estilo and Maruti Swift were the most sought after Maruti cars. The fact is also agreed by Hyundai spokesperson Rajiv Mitra and Honda. Meanwhile, General Motors is going to introduce Chevrolet Beat in India. The company will also showcase the premium car, Chevrolet Beat, in Auto Expo 2010 in Delhi. The awaited New cars launches, Volkswagen Polo might add to the present scenario. Recently, Premier Auto launched its Premier Rio in the market.
