BMW X3 to launch in India
The German auto giant is expected to launch BMW X3 SAV (Sport Activity Vehicle) by mid of 2011. The luxury car maker will assemble BMW X3 in completely knocked down unit in the Chennai manufacturing unit. It is speculated that it will come in two car models BMW X3 xDrive 20d the entry level car built in 184 bhp motor. It is rumored to be priced at Rs 41.2 lakh however, the BMW X3 xdrive25i is speculated to be priced at Rs 42.2 lakh. The BMW X3 second generation is coded as F25 which will gun against Audi Q5, Volvo XC60 and Land Rover freelander.

The BMW X3 exterior style blends similar with the smaller BMW X1 and the bigger BMW X5 in a chassis which will be in BMW X3. Looking at the beauty it is wider, bigger and taller than the car model it will replace. The newness it will come with are bigger rear doors for better access, upgraded powertrain option and an improved gearbox.

BMW India has gained numero uno position from two consecutive years. It has beaten its home grown rivals Mercedes-Benz.
