Audi R8 V10 Spyder slated to launch on March 25

Audi India is all set to take the Indian auto industry by storm, the German auto giant might be skeptical regarding its CKD operations in India but it seems the company is aiming high for the CBU operations. The company recently launched its magnum opus Audi A8L last month in 3.0 TDI, 4.2 FSI and 6.0 W12 guise) and the Q5's 2.0 TDI variant. Audi has pulled its socks and is now eyeing at launching the bewitching variant of Audi R8 V10 coupe.

The coupe will be unfolded on the 25th of March, the all new Audi R8 V10 Spyder is likely to inherit some of the traits from the current version. The new variant will be equipped with the same V10 motor found affixed in the coupe. In just 4.1 seconds, the 525 bhp Spyder can accelerate from 0-100 kph and go up to a high speed of whacking 310 kph. With the help of an electrohydraulic setup, within 19 seconds the soft top can latch itself into place. Being just 30 kg in weight the entire setup adds up in maintaining the center of gravity low.

Audi is tight lipped about the price of the new car but, contemplating the price of the current coupe, it is likely to fall under the same price tag. The Audi V10 has performed pretty well ever since its launch in the last three months, the new variant is expected to follow the same trend.
