AB Group to enter in retailing of high end cars
Owing to the exponential growth in the Indian super luxury car segment, AB Group the famous fleet operator in South India, is planning to venture in the retailing of the high end cars. Recently the company was able to corner a total turnover of Rs 174 crore and with this the company wants to start retailing of multi brand super luxury cars.
Addressing the huge plans, Mr. A. Sadiq who is the director of AB Group commented that the Indian luxury car segment is on high acceleration leading to high demand for luxury car models which are not available in India. With this new retailing branch the company is aiming the availability of such unique car models in Indian auto market. The company made the official announcement on its intentions to foray in the super luxury car servicing on Thursday.
Mr. Sadiq said that the year 2011 will mark the kick start of the retailing activities. With this retailing the company intends to avail car models priced post Rs.1 million. Mr. Sadiq also said that though many luxury car manufacturing companies have their own production plants in India with well established dealership network but the service cost availed by these companies are extremely high which is a topic of concern even to the buyers.
He commented that through there upcoming service centre, The Torque, company is to provide the high end services at a considerably lower priced as against the one offered by service station authorised vy the car maker.
Sadiq said that there are few super luxury cars in world which are not available in the Indian auto market and the buyers have to import them by paying high import duties and shipping expenses. With this new dealership AB Group will try to avail these models in India at competetive prices.
He also accepted the fact that used car business of these high end cars is also gaining popularity in India and said that AB Group will also add a segment for the sale of these luxury used car business.
