The premium hatchback segment recently received a breath of fresh air by way of the newly launched third-gen Hyundai i20. It gets a couple of new engines, a few feature updates and an all-new look. These updates have made the new i20 quite pricey in comparison to its segment rivals with prices starting from Rs 6.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). But is the entry-level Magna variant worth it? If you’re looking to experience a premium hatchback on a tight budget, the i20 Magna meets all the basic needs like an audio system with 6-speakers, steering mounted audio and telephoney controls, rear AC vents and keyless entry too. Also, the money saved by not buying a higher variant will be more than enough to accessorize it with alloy wheels and an aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system. A notable miss from the carmaker is the absence of a height adjustable driver’s seat at this price.
