Latest Update: MG4 EV has made its India debut at the 2023 Auto Expo.
Launch: It could be launched in India by April 2024.
Expected Price: It is expected to be priced from Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
Battery Pack and Range: Internationally, it is offered in two battery pack options: 51kWh and 64kWh. The former has an output of 170PS/250Nm and the latter is rated at 203PS/250Nm. The MG4 EV offers a maximum WLTP-claimed range of up to 450km.
Charging: It supports four types of charging options

2.2kW - 20.5 hours (51kWh) and 26 hours (64kWh)

7kW - 7.5 hours (51kWh) and 9 hours (64kWh)

50kW DC Fast Charger - 52 minutes (51kWh) and 60 minutes (64kWh)

150kW DC Fast Charger - 39 minutes (51kWh) and 39 minutes (64kWh)
Features: Features on board the MG4 EV include a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a seven-inch digital driver display. It also gets connected car tech, heated front seats and steering wheel, wireless phone charger and V2L (vehicle to load) feature.
Safety: On the safety front, it gets multiple airbags, ABS with EBD and a 360-degree camera. Furthermore, it is equipped with full suite advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) functionalities including autonomous emergency braking (AEB), adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist (LKA) with lane departure warning system and rear cross-traffic alert.
Rivals: If launched in India, the MG4 EV will be a premium alternative to Hyundai Kona Electric and MG ZS EV while being an affordable option to the likes of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.
