Trailblazer Showcased By Chevrolet at 2016 Auto Expo

Chevrolet has showcased its Indian flagship product, Trailblazer, at the ongoing 2016 Auto Expo. This SUV was launched at Rs. 26.4 lac, in October last year. Trailblazer is Chevrolet’s second attempt at the premium SUV market after Captiva. The car is being initially brought through the CBU route in the country. Only one variant of the car has been launched in India. Sadly, it is a 2WD one. It comes equipped with dual-front airbags, electronic stability control, traction control and and ABS+EBD.

Powering this mammoth is a class leading Duramax 2.8-litre, 4-cylinder engine which develops 197bhp of power at 3,600rpm with a massive 500Nm of torque at 2,000rpm. The motor is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. This car is also the largest in its segment, with a length, width and height of 4,878mm, 1,902mm and 1,847mm, respectively. It can carry 2,068 kgs of weight and has a huge ground clearance of 231mm.

Design of this SUV is a typical Chevrolet. It has the familiar Chevy dual-port grille, with the swept back projector headlamps and foglamp, housings polished-in chrome. The rear gets wrap around LED taillamp cluster and some chrome accents. Side has large windows, a wrap-around rear windscreen and understated wheel arches.

Inside, Trailblazer comes feature packed with Chevrolet’s MyLink 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This infotainment system contains in-built connectivity options and reverse parking camera with sensors. The car rivals the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Hyundai Santa Fe, Isuzu MU 7, Honda CR-V and Ford Endeavour. If you are looking for a 4x4 SUV, Trailblazer might disappoint you, as it only comes in a 4x2 setup. Endeavour, Fortuner and Pajero, all are up for grabs with a 4x4 option.
