New R8 to lead Audi's Lineup at Auto Expo 2016
With its sportier looks, petrolheads can expect the new R8 to steal the show at Auto Expo 2016. First revealed at 2015 Geneva Motor Show, new R8 displays various changes inside when compared to its predecessor.
The new R8 is all set to lead Audi’s lineup at Auto Expo 2016. The German carmaker is expected to display a total of three vehicles at the automobile exhibition which is starting from February 4, 2016.

Major change comes in the form of digital 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit system, which has replaced the previous multimedia interface screen. It enables the driver to customise the display as per his/her preference. It What remains to be seen if it is offered in the India bound model. The design of the car is something which has not been played with much and the carmaker has carried on with its previous design.
The new R8 is to compete against the likes of Mercedes-AMG GT, Porsche 911 Turbo and McLaren 570S. It shares about half of its parts with R8 LMS. The car is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 mill and will come with two engine specifications. The more powerful tune (R8 plus) will produce 610 hp of maximum power, while the other generates 540 hp of maximum power. R8 plus can do a 0-100 kmph sprint in 3.2 seconds and the engine is capable of taking car to a top speed of 330 kmph. It comes mated to 7-speed S-Tronic gearbox and the power is sent to all wheels through Quattro AWD system. With its sportier looks, petrolheads can expect the new R8 to steal the show at Auto Expo 2016.
