Made-in-India Ford EcoSport now Launches in Nepal at Rs 17.9 lakh
After launching the much anticipated Ford EcoSport compact SUV in India at a very affordable price, American automaker has now launched the same vehicle in our neighbour country, Nepal at a starting price of NPR 2,850,000 (around Rs 17.9 lakh Indian rupees). Available in a total 10 variants, Ford EcoSport has been priced in the range between NPR 2,850,000 (INR 17.9 lakh) and 4,290,000 (around INR 27 lakh). EcoSport will be sold by Go Ford, the official distributor of Ford Vehicles in the Nepali market.
Speaking at the launch, Go Ford's director Akash Golcha said, “EcoSport will change the share of segments in the market. It will not only challenge other SUVs but also taken on other segments like sedan and premium hatchbacks.” Just like India, Ford EcoSport has been made available in seven different colours- mars red, moondust silver, kinetic blue, sea grey, panther black, diamond white and chill and in the same four trims- Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium Plus. Nepali market too has got all three engine options- 1.0-litre EcoBoost, 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel, as well as the similar petrol automatic transmission variant too.
While the 1.0-litre EcoBoost powered engine is available in two variants- Titanium and Titanium Plus, while other two 1.5L petrol and 1.5L diesel versions are available in all four trims. And exactly like India it is the 1.5-litre petrol engine powered version, which has been offered with a six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
