Just a few days after it was spotted at a dealership, the Ford Aspire Blu Edition has been launched as a limited-run cosmetic package. It is based on the Titanium-spec variant of the Aspire’s petrol- and diesel-manual options.
The 1.2-litre petrol engine option is priced at Rs 7.51 lakh while the diesel is priced at Rs 8.31 lakh. Priced under the Titanium+ variant, the Aspire Blu Edition gets a black roof, 15-inch black finished alloy wheels, blue coloured inserts and body decals. The ‘Blu’ treatment continues on the inside as well with ‘Blu’ emblem on the seats, blue stitching and blue coloured inserts on the doors as well. The cabin theme is all-black on this version as opposed to the beige-black combo on the regular model. It is available in three exterior colour options - Oxford White, Moondust Silver and Smoke Grey.
It’s feature list is the same as the Titanium variant that it’s based on. So it gets equipment like a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system without Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, push-to-start, auto AC, reverse parking camera and steering mounted controls. Safety features include dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors. It also gets a 5-year or one lakh kilometre warranty, which includes a standard 2-year warranty and a 3-year extended warranty too.

Ford’s Aspire Blu Edition is priced at a premium of Rs 25,000 over the regular Titanium variant. Considering the changes applied inside and out, it’s almost worth it to make the sub-4 metre sedan look distinct from the other variants.
Ford Figo, the hatchback counterpart of the Aspire, is also available with similar cosmetics as the Blu Edition. However, the Figo Titanium Blu variant has not been stated to be a limited-run model by Ford. In the case of the Figo, the Blu is the top variant that is on offer in the country.
