Jaguar Showcases F-Pace SUV at 2016 Indian Auto Expo

Jaguar has made the Indian premiere of their first ever SUV - F-Pace, at the on-going 2016 Indian Auto Expo. The SUV is expected to be launched in the latter half of the year. Jaguar F-Pace was revealed a few months ago, in the year 2015. In India, it will compete with SUVs like the Volvo XC90 , Audi Q7, BMW X5 and others. 

In terms of appearance, it shares its front facade with Jaguar's sedans, while the rear seems to be a F-Type on steroids. The F-Pace is the third product to be carved out of Jaguar’s new light aluminium architecture. Jaguar India will offer 4 variants of F-Pace, namely Pure, Prestige, R-Sport and First Edition.

Mechanically, F-Pace in India will only come with two diesel engine options, both of them coupled to an eight automatic transmission, featuring AWD (All-Wheel-Drive) setup. Pure and Prestige variants will be powered by a 2.0-litre twin turbo Ingenium diesel engine which generates 178 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 430 Nm of max torque in-between 1,750 - 2,500. The R-Sport and First Edition trims feature a 3.0-litre V6 twin turbo diesel mustering 296 bhp @ 4000 rpm and a colossal 700 Nm of max torque at 2000 rpm. The Pure and Prestige trims ride on 18-inch alloys, meantime R-Sport rides on 19-inch alloys and First Edition comes with 20-inch wheels. The F-Pace offers a ground clearance of 213 mm. 

Speaking of the features, the SUV comes standard with Jaguar’s 8-inch InControl infotainment system, a 5-inch multi-info display, with analog dial instrument cluster and 80 W Jaguar Sound System. You can also opt for the state of the art 10.2-inch InControl touch pro, with 10 GB of internal memory along with 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster and 380W Meridian digital sound system.
