Honda Amaze Facelift Spied Undisguised Ahead of Launch
Japanese automaker, Honda’s best-selling car the Amaze compact sedan is about to receive a facelift and clear images of the undisguised upcoming updated sedan have made their way online. There is a strong possibility that the Honda Amaze facelift is slated to be launched in the Indian market on 3rd of March 2016.
This launch is expected to take place in New Delhi and this possibility was entertained, when Honda confirmed that a Press Conference will be held in Delhi but refrained from providing any insight into this subject of the conference.
As far as the updated on the car are concerned- on the outside, the Amaze facelift will get a brand new Chrome grill and a redesigned front bumper. It is also expected that the rear end of the car will also get updated and there is a possibility that Honda Amaze will derive its interiors from the company’s 2016 Mobilio MPV. The updates to the interior are expected to include, a touch screen infotainment system automatic climate control and a brand new instrument cluster, amongst others.
Since this car is a facelift, it is expected that the updated Honda Amaze Sedan will remain mechanically unaltered and will continue incorporating the 1.5-litre diesel engine, which produces 100PS of power and 200Nm of peak torque. The powerplant duties for petrol variants will be undertaken by Honda’s 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol mill, which is capable of producing 88PS of power and 109 Nm of peak torque. The power plants will come coupled to the standard 5 speed manual and automatic gearbox (Exclusive to petrol variants) options and will not in corporate the 6-speed unit seen in the Jazz hatchback.
This particular hatchback will help Honda’s compact sedan to take one it's highly revered rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and Ford Figo Aspire, amongst others.
