There’s no doubt that the Mahindra XUV700 has been a successful offering from the popular SUV manufacturer. It has been selling like hot cakes ever since its inception in August 2021. And now, just as the XUV700 is going to turn four years old soon, Mahindra has announced that the midsize SUV has crossed the 3 lakh sales milestone.
Notably, the XUV700 crossed the 2.5 lakh sales milestone in March 2025, and it took Mahindra only four months to rack up 50,000 sales.
Mahindra XUV700: A Brief Overview

The Mahindra XUV700 has stood the test of time very well and has aged gracefully. This is despite the fact that it’s going to turn 4 in August 2025. It still looks butch with imposing fascia that features the bold Mahindra slatted grille and LED headlights with angular DRLs. In profile, it comes with 18-inch alloys and was also the first Mahindra to come with flush-fitting door handles, giving it a sleek look. Wrap around LED tail lamps with sequential turn indicators round off the overall look.

Even the cabin still looks fresh and modern when it comes to design. Its top highlight is the Mercedes-like dual 10.25-inch screens that are placed under a single slab of glass for a modern look. Unlike modern Mahindra, the XUV700 continues to get physical controls and knobs for the air-conditioning system, which are much easier to operate.
It also doesn’t disappoint when it comes to features, which is what we’ll be talking about next.
Mahindra XUV700: Features Onboard

Mahindra XUV700: What’s Next?
Mahindra has already commenced working on the upcoming XUV700 facelift, which will get plenty of cosmetic revisions. Test mules have already revealed new design elements like an updated grille and new LED headlights. Inside, it will get a more upmarket dashboard with a triple screen layout a la the Mahindra XEV 9e. The facelifted Mahindra XUV700 is expected to launch in 2026, and you can read more about it here. Along with the facelift, we also expect Mahindra to launch the much-awaited XEV 7e, i.e. the electric counterpart of the XUV700, which has been spotted testing recently.
