VW to launch new Beetle on April 18
Volkswagen, the world's leading car manufacturer, is going to have World launch of new Volkswagen Beetle on April 18, 2011. The car will be launched in Shanghai, China and the occasion will be hosted by MTV’s VJ guest. The launching programme will be held along with exclusive MTV Sound System. After that the car will be displayed in New York and Berlin.
As per German Giant officials, the Volkswagen Beetle is an Icon of the Automotive world as MTV is an icon of the music world and now it is going to have global car. This car is one-of-a-kind styling combined with the latest technology that now will foray in the world market.
On 4th December, Volkswagen had launched Beetle's well designed 2010 model in the Indian market with price tag of Rs 21.34 lakh (Ex-Showroom Delhi). The car is powered by high capacity 2.0L, 1984cc, 4-Cylinder petrol engine with MPFI fuel injection system which ensures better fuel efficiency. The Beetle's 2.0L, 1984cc mill produces maximum power of 115Bhp at 5400rpm and top torque of 172Nm at 3200rpm. The car has maximum Top speed of 120kmph. This attractive car is available in six colours like Salsa Red, Black, Candy White, Sunflower, Reflex Silver and Laser Blue.
This new Volkswagen Beetle will also be launched in India which will come featured with Bluetooth and a touchscreen interface. It will also have branded audio system and ambient lighting which will provide it altogether new look. The new car will come equipped with sport seats, stiffer suspension, 19-inch wheels and dual exhausts that promises to claim it solid performer in the segment. But there is no change in the engine department of the new car; it will be loaded with a 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine same as 2010 Beetle.
