Volkswagen sells 7266 units in October 2011

The Volkswagen brand sold 7266 vehicles in the month of October 2011, a growth of 67 percent over 4343 vehicles sold in October 2010. Despite the sluggish market, the Volkswagen Polo and the Volkswagen Vento continue to bring in the numbers for the brand during the festive season with a total of 6814 units sold in October 2011. Our action model strategy has once again proved to be very successful with the Volkswagen Polo and the Volkswagen Vento Breeze being a huge attraction for customers during the festive season.” Other car models offered by Volkswagen in India include, Volkswagen Jetta, Volkswagen Beetle, Volksawgen Passat, Volkswagen Touareg and Phaeton.

The sudden increase in sales by 67% might be because of Maruti workers strike which is responsible for long waiting for new Swift cars. Polo is however is a good vehicle in that segment.
