What we know as the Vento has been rebadged and launched in Middle East as the Volkswagen Polo Sedan. The India-built Polo sedan will be available in two trims, S and SE. In India, the Vento is considered to be an executive sedan but in the Middle East it will be sedan for a working class man. The car will hit the showrooms in UAE, Saudi Arabia and rest of the GCC in this month.

This Left-Hand drive model is built alongside the Vento at the company’s Chakan plant in Maharashtra. These vehicles are also going to be exported to Africa. The engine for the VW Polo sedan remains same as the Indian VW Vento. The Polo sedan gets the 1.6-litre petrol mill under its hood, capable of delivering a power of 104bhp. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The Volkswagen Polo sedan comes with a front fascia which is typically Volkswagen along with fog lamps, 15inch alloys, electric controls for OVRMs, dual airbags, ABS, central locking with remote and audio system. All these come as standard features. The sedan also gets the leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob. The top of the line of the VW Polo sedan will get parking sensors along with climate controls.
