Vento Highline sports new features, hits dealerships

Volkswagen India has recently been in news with offering the special edition on two of its models Volkswagen Polo hatchback and Volkswagen Vento sedan as ‘Breeze’ edition. Now, Volkswagen is once again back with an update on the Volkswagen Vento Highline variant with five additional features. The deal with the loaded features on the car comes with just Rs 20,000 of additional cost. The five features are to begin with Rear Parking sensors, Steering mounted audio controls, Leather wrapped steering wheel and USB socket in the glovebox. With more impressive features to offer, Volkswagen Vento is now a better buy.

Depending on the market dynamics, Volkswagen has been mulling to introduce various car models. Among the probable options, Volkswagen UP! launch is also on the cards. While Volkswagen is currently concentrating on the Europe launch of the small car, they are also weighing the options for the Indian launch as well. However, the company has to increase the localization of the car production in order to bring down the cost to suit the Indian market.

The German manufacturer is hoping to increase the localization from the present 70% to 80% to make the small car launch possible. According to the reports, the company has already invested a sum of Rs 3,800 crores in its Pune facility in a step towards launching its future models. Volkswagen at present offers various cars in India these are, Volkswagen Polo, Volkswagen Vento, Volkswagen Beetle, Volkswagen Jetta, Volkswagen Passat, Volkswagen Phaeton and Volkswagen Touareg.
