Upcoming Volkswagen Vento Facelift Spied Undisguised

Gets more familiar face like its other clan sedans - courtesy to the new three slat grille

Volkswagen India has been working on Vento facelift, the spied test mule in the country were deliberately disguised around altered areas. But recent images from Russia has revealed the upcoming Vento facelift entirely. In Russia, Vento is known as Polo sedan. Speaking of the launch, the vehicle is expected to launch around the festive season. Last year VW India updated the Vento, biggest change was the addition of a brand new diesel. This said, cosmetic changes were hardly there with the current update.

Jetta-like grille has helped largely in botoxing of Vento’s aging face!

Now, looking at the fresh images from Russia, the new Jetta-esque grille is largely helping the facial overhaul - botox of the aging Vento! The new three slat grille has imparted maturedness in the sedan while the current dual-barrel headlamps are carry forwarded with this lift. The side profile looks like its hardly been touched, save for the subtle changes to the wing mirrors and new set of alloys. At the rear, Vento gets new chrome applique above the licence plate, reflectors on the bumper and a cut out for the exhaust. Moreover, taillight cluster design seems new, in a similar way like they did with the refreshed Polo. On the inside, expect new upholstery and updated infotainment system.

Mechanically, it is expected to be similar like the on-going car, 1.5-liter TDI, 1.6-liter MPI and 1.2-liter TSI petrol. Transmissions, 5-speed manual and 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic are expected to come.
