Toyota Etios and Etios Liva pushes up the sales of Toyota
Toyota Motors has registered a sales of 12, 807 units in September 2011 as compared to 6,235 units in September 2010. The company sales grew by an unbelievable 105% when compared to the corresponding period last year. All credit goes to the diesel variants of Toyota Etios and Toyota Etios Liva. These cars received their diesel hearts recently on September 9, 2011.

Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director, Marketing at Toyota Kirloskar Motors said, “Toyota has registered a growth of 105% in September sales. This growth can be attributed to the sales of Etios and Etios Liva clocking a total of 5926 units”. Toyota India intends to grab the Indian market with Toyota Etios diesel and Toyota Etios Liva diesel. Further, he added that the flagship brand Toyota Innova along with the very smart Toyota Fortuner and luxurious Toyota Corolla, have also contributed to this growth. This is the positive sign for the company at the onset of the festive season.

Toyota Innova is the most popular MPV in the country and received an overwhelming response since its launch due to its high performance and smooth handling. The Etios and Etios Liva recorded a sale of 2,951 and 2,975 respectively along with the Innova clocking 4,765 units. The Corolla Altis and Toyota Fortuner also recorded a sale of 994 units and 1,078 units respectively. Sales figure reveal that Toyota Fortuner is running ahead in the SUV segment, on the other hand Toyota is looking to bring forth the revamped version of it in the market soon that is likely to boost the sales figure further.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has two manufacturing units in India wherein it manufactures and assembles its various products. The unit located at Suburb of Bangalore, Karnataka produces Toyota Etios, Etios Liva, Corolla Altis, Toyota Innova and Toyota Fortuner and makes Toyota Camry, Toyota Prado, Land Cruiser and Toyota Prius ready for delivery. These vehicles are imported as CBUs. However, the other unit exclusively manufactures Toyota Etios, Etios Liva. Both the units have a capacity of producing 80,000 units annually.
