In the child occupant protection tests, the Harrier EV scored full 8 out of 8 and 4 out of 4 points in the frontal and side crash tests, respectively, for both the 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies. However, it failed to score full points in COP due to a loss of points in the vehicle assessment test, where it fetched 9 out of 13 points.

Mahindra BE 6

In the frontal offset deformable barrier tests, while all body parts of the co-driver received ‘good’ protection, safety to the driver’s right tibia was rated ‘adequate’. Other parts of the driver, including the head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, thighs, feet and left tibia were rated ‘good’.

The BE 6 had a similar performance as the Harrier EV in the side movable deformable barrier test, with ‘good’ protection to all parts of the occupant.

In the child occupant protection tests, the Mahindra BE 6 scored full points for the frontal and side protection of both the 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies. However, like the Tata rival, it lost points in the vehicle assessment score, leading to reduced points (45 out of 49).
