    Suzuki Ertiga Sport

Suzuki has unveiled the Ertiga Sport at the ongoing 2018 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (complete coverage on Oto.com) and we have to admit, it looks smashing! Suzuki had earlier introduced the second-gen Ertiga in Indonesia in May 2018. It gets a set of new 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines which is also set to be introduced on the upcoming Ciaz.

Most of the changes are limited to the exteriors which include wide bumper extensions and a new mesh front grille flanked by smoked LED projector headlamps with DRLs. It’s evident from the side that the Ertiga Sport has a lowered suspension setup. Its bigger 18-inch wheels are shod with 225/40 cross-section low profile tyres. The side skirts receive ‘Suzuki Sport’ badging as well. The rear is dominated by large boomerang shaped taillights, a big spoiler and faux diffuser.

We had reported earlier that the second-gen Ertiga is set to make its India debut close to Diwali 2018. It will be based on the new Heartect platform and will be made available with the aforementioned engines. Suzuki will also add SHVS (Suzuki Hybrid Vehicle System) to the mix.

The new Ertiga will be sold through Maruti’s Nexa dealerships as a premium offering beside the Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz and the S-Cross. But we would advise you to not hold your breath for the Ertiga Sport as it might not reach our shores. If you still want it, there could be an accessory list from Maruti with body extensions, spoiler and the sorts to jazz up your Ertiga. An exterior styling accessory kit is already available with the current first-gen Ertiga and other Maruti products too.
