Skoda Superb, Laura, Fabia displayed at Auto Expo South

Skoda Auto India, a fully owned subsidiary of Skoda Auto A.S., Czech Republic and one of the most promising automobile companies in India, displayed their three popular cars at the Auto Expo in Hyderabad that took a kick-start today. The models at display are Skoda Laura, Skoda Superb and Skoda Fabia. The first two fall in the sedan segment while Fabia is contained in the hatchback category.


The Auto Expo is one of the its kind event to be held in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The government is looking forward to the event as a big opportunity of promotion and is keen on using varied marketing techniques for the same. The event was inaugurated by the honourable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Dr K Rosaiah being the First Auto Show South in Hyderabad on Friday, 14th May, 2010. The government is looking forward for the show to be an interactive platform for he stakeholders, customers and companies.


As the concept of a regional auto expo seems interesting and unique, the organisers are looking forward to organise more such events in other parts of the country as well. Auto makers are taking the opportunity to launch a foray of new products both in the two-wheeler and four-wheeler segments. Mr. Vishnu Mathur, Director General, SIAM said that the Southern region happens to be one of the most important markets in the country and the show is to facilitate larger regional exposure, display of latest products and offerings, technology transfer and will also provide opportunities to network with the automobile and related Industries.


Apart from Skoda India, other biggies at the sow include Toyota, Tata Motors, Honda Motorcycles, General Motors, Mahindra Mahindra, Skoda, TVS Motors and Yamaha.
