Skoda Laura Petrol Automatic Launched at Rs. 15.65 Lakh
Taking an unexpected move, Skoda India has now introduced the optional 7-speed DSG gearbox to the 160PS TSI petrol motor of the Laura, which has been said to be replaced by the 2013 Skoda Octavia soon in India. Made available in the Ambition trim of the car, the automatic Laura has been priced at Rs. 15.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is about a lakh higher than that of the 6-speed Manual version of the car.

One more surprising factor associated with the DSG-powered Laura TSI, is its capability to return a better fuel efficiency than the manual Laura, something that is rare, normally manual version of a car proves to be more fuel efficient than the automatic one. While the Manual Laura claims to return 13.4kmpl, the 7-speed DSG-Equipped Laura TSI offers an impressive 14.6kmpl of mileage.
Skoda has also offered the 16-inch alloys with the car, which is missing on the manual petrol version. The interiors and other features have remained the same. So the car which only had the manual petrol version, now offers a 7-speed DSG box fitted TSI variant to its buyers.
