Range Rover Sport images leaked
A few hours before the global debut of the new Range Rover Sport at the 2013 New York Motor Show, its images have been leaked out on the Internet. The Torque Report website has shared these images, and the vehicle looks as the earlier leaked images.
The Range Rover Sport will be an all aluminium monocoque, which will help it to reduce its weight by a good hundreds of kilograms. Also, it will get the new 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol that will also power the new F-Type. This is the new engine that will even propel several other JLR products including the XF, XJ, Range Rover and many more.
The front of the Range Rover Sport gets more styling cues from the flagship SUV and even the Evoque. The grille is narrow just like the Evoque, while the LED cluster has been picked from the Range Rover. The lower grille and the silver skid plate give it a very Evoque-like fascia. The contrasting roof, the side metal vents make the side profile feel like the elder sibling of the Evoque. Even the fastback roof and small tail lamps makes it the blood relative of the Evoque.
In few hours, the specifications of the Range Rover Sport will be disclosed at the New York Motor Show. Watch this space for more updates.
