Next-Gen Ford Endeavour to Launch on January 20th, 2016!

Ford will be re-launching Endeavour in the country on January 20th, 2016. The previous Endy was discontinued last year. Earlier, the vehicle was reported to be launched a day before, that is, 19th January. The new 2016 Endeavour will compete with the current Fortuner, facelifted Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and new Chevrolet Trailblazer. It is expected to be priced slightly more than the previous model.

Like the last one, the new Endeavour is also coming with two engine option in the country. The engine options will include a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder and a 3.2-liter 5-cylinder TDCi diesel engines. The 2.2-litre diesel produces 160 PS and a peak torque of 385 Nm. This motor will come with an option of 6-Speed manual or 6-Speed automatic though 4WD is optional. The bigger 3.2-liter oil burner musters 200 PS and a max torque of 470 Nm. This engine comes standard with a 6-Speed automatic gearbox and 4WD setup. The new Endeavour offers 800 mm water wading capabilities and comes with 225 mm of ground clearance.

Another interesting bit, 2016 Ford Endeavour will offer automaker’s Terrain Management System. From a rotary knob in the cabin you can select from varied options like Rock, Sand and Snow. It is a segment first feature. Major features include Ford's 8-inch SYNC 2 touchscreen infotainment system, first-in-class Semi Auto Parallel Park Assist, eight-way power adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, power folding third row, etc. Speaking about the lighting, Ford Endeavour comes with projectors with daytime running LEDs along with LED taillamps. The colour options will include six shades – Sunset Red, Diamond White, Golden Bronze, Moondust Silver, Panther Black and Smoke Grey. In terms of safety, Endeavour comes with 7 airbags along with other features.
