New Innova at Rs 9.40 lakh, Fortuner facelift priced at Rs 19.9 lakh
The string of launches from different car manufacturers has already begun amidst the electrifying atmosphere at the Auto Expo 2012 that kickstarted today. The precession of new cars has already started and the latest versions of Toyota’s flagship models Toyota Innova and Toyota Fortuner are launched with a plethora of visible changes along the revamped versions. Toyota India has delivered true to its word coming up with the exterior facelift which is clearly evident with the redesigned grille, new pair of headlamps design which is thoroughly carried out to the rear end as well to look more dazzling than ever before.
The new Toyota Innova price is raised by a considerable amount to Rs 9.40 lakh for the base petrol variant. Although, the good news is Toyota India has decided to increase the production of its best-selling MPV in a step to shorten the wait period of the MPV which now stands at over 3-4 months. The Toyota Innova is offered in both petrol and diesel variants with a 2.0 L 4-cylinder petrol engine to churn out a 132 PS and 181 Nm peak power and torque, while the 2.5 L diesel powertrain generates a 102 PS and 200 Nm maximum power and torque numbers. The all new Toyota Fortuner is another car model the auto major launched for the benefit of car enthusiasts today, which is again fraught with ample changes along the interiors and exteriors of the car.
Apart from the apparent changes to proffer a fresher appeal to the MPV, the intention was mainly to offer more variants for ample options to the consumer. Toyota India has now introduced the 4x2 variant which was missing before with a new Toyota Fortuner price of Rs 19.99 lakh. The Toyota Fortuner was launched with all-diesel 3.0 L D-4D 168 Bhp power and 343 Nm torque generating engine mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox to power the car which is completely devoid of an automatic gearbox despite the Toyota Fortuner price of Rs 20.5 lakh.
