Hyundai has began work on its diesel plant and our sources confirm that this should be ready by mid of this year. The new i10 will be larger in dimensions when compared to the current generation i10 and will be designed with the Fluidic Sculpture, which has been a great design success for the Korea-based automaker.

This new diesel engine could also power the existing i20, as it does in some of the European markets, to reduce the cost of the entry-level diesel i20 and also boosting the production numbers for this oil burner. We shall keep you posted on the new i10 and this diesel engine as and when we received images or any data on it.
