American car makers, Chevrolet have a big day tomorrow as they launch the ever popular Chevrolet Beat LPG with SMARTECH engine. The company has proudly showcased the new Chevrolet Beat with the next generation LPG kit unlike the Venturi type kit that has been seen in the market so far. The LPG kit equipped in the new Beat is powered with the Advanced Multipoint Sequential LPG Injection technology that overcomes disadvantages of conventional LPG kit.

The car will also have the much talked about SMARTECH engine or the 1.2 S-TEC engine which is manufactured at the company's facility at Talegaon, Pune. Being light weight, this engine assures an impressive mileage of 18.6 kmpl and an exceptional output of 80.5 PS (in petrol) making it apt for Indian roads and its challenging terrains. The new SMARTECH engine includes attributes such as Aluminum alloy cylinder head, optimized cylinder block, piston with Graphite coated skirt which reduces friction.
