Mercedes-Benz ranked 12th best brand in world

Mercedes Benz was ranked 12^th in the list of top 100 Global Brands in the world. The German car maker was also the topmost ranked premium car manufacturing brand, making Mercedes Benz the top global premium car brand in the world. Interbrand-a list released by consultancy firm Zintzmeyer & Lux featured Mercedes-Benz in the 12th seed which followed Toyota Motors reining the sector on 11^th position. Interbrand has valued Mercedes Benz brand at $27.455 billion.

BMW on 15, Honda on 19, Volkswagen on 47, Ford Motors on 50, Audi on 59, Hyundai on 61, Porsche on 72, Nissan on 90, Ferrari on 99 and Harley Davidson on 100 are the other vehicles manufacturing brands in the list of top 100. Coca Cola, IBM and Microsoft are the flag-bearers of the list standing on 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd position, respectively, of victory stand. Mercedes-Benz firmly staked out its territory atop the premium automobile category with excellence in engineering, performance, styling, and safety. With its new model rollout, Mercedes has responded to a market that is quickly evolving in favor of green technologies. Half of the product line is available with its BlueEfficiency package, and the Daimler “Car2Go” car-sharing mobility concept recently launched. Mercedes-Benz also continues to partner with Tesla on lithium-ion battery packs, and it received a 2010 German Sustainability Award for its Atego BlueTec Hybrid truck.
