Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG launched in India at INR 69.60 Lac

After launching the GLA-Class last month, Mercedes-Benz India today introduced its performance oriented version, the GLA 45 AMG in the country. Priced at INR 69.60 Lac, the GLA 45 AMG, as is the case with the GLA-Class, is based on Mercedes-Benz’s Modular Front Architecture (MFA) platform that also underpins the A-Class and the B-Class.

Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG

As compared to its compared to its normal version, the AMG version comes with more aggressive styling, courtesy an AMG body kit. The exterior changes comes in the form of a sporty front bumper, larger air intakes combined with a brushed aluminium front splitter, side skirts and a rear bumper that gets an integrated diffuser along with quad chrome-tipped exhaust tips. The large 19-inch alloy wheels enhances the overall stance of the vehicle.

Powering the GLA45 AMG is the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which already powers the July-launched CLA 45 AMG. The unit churns out 355 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 450 Nm of torque between 2,250 – 5,000 rpm, and is mated to a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT dual-clutch transmission.The vehicle comes equipped with Mercedes' 4MATIC all-wheel drive system, distributing power to all the wheels. This enables the performance crossover to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. While the top-speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
