Maruti SX4 launch delayed by next week

Maruti Suzuki India the Indian car czar has captured the domestic auto market especially in the small car segment which holds 70 per cent of the share. It has been observed that Maruti wishes to expand in the Indian auto sector by investing in sedan segment. Recently it launched Maruti Kizashi the luxury car to expand on its market worth.

It was heard that Maruti is also looking at the expansion on the variants of the car. Recently the diesel verison of Maruti SX4 was spotted which is apparently going to hit the Indian roads by next week. If the rumours are to be believed Maruti has delayed the launch of the diesel sedan Maruti SX4 by 22nd February.The sedan is loaded with 1.3 litre diesel multijet powertrain produced by Fiat, the diesel sedan will churn a power of 90 bhp.

Maruti also sports the same engine in its well known Maruti Swift and Maruti Swift Dzire. The sedan will face a tough fight with a popular car model Volkswagen Vento diesel version. For the German auto marker Volkswagen Vento and Volkswagen Polo are doing wonders in the domestic auto markets by registering maximum sales. It seems to be a tough fight for the Indian auto mobile maker . The diesel version of the sedan will be priced at a range of Rs 6.99 lakh. The diesel variant is coming at the right time as with petrol price rising every fortnight, it seems to be a great bet for the domestic auto market.
