Maruti Suzuki to organise women's rally in Pune

Like any usual rally, the primary objective of the participants is to navigate the route which has hidden check points, while keeping to the prescribed time. For guidance, a road book incorporating instructions based on Time Speed and Distance (TSD) will be provided to the participants.

Mr. Manohar Bhat, Vice President, Marketing, Maruti Suzuki India, says “ With nearly two decades of experience in motorsports Maruti Suzuki’s endeavor every year is to reach out new segments. We have so far received a very encouraging response from women in our rallies. To strengthen their participation in motorsports we are experimenting with local city based rallies. We are confident, many women rallyists would ladder up to tougher motorsports properties such as Maruti Suzuki Raid-de-Himalaya and Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm post their pleasant experience of this rally. Our calendar is action packed for the year, and we aim to reach new markets and strengthen our rallies by introducing newer routes coupled with innovative rallying experiences!”

Country's various well known car rallyists such as Minaxi Purohit from Ahmedabad, Nupur Jangu from Bikaner and Khyati Modi from Mumbai will be participating in the rally. Previously, Minaxi had participated in the Royal Rajasthan Rally and SJOBA rally.
